6 During 2009, I've been foolish enough to candidate as <acronym
7 title="Debian Project Leader">DPL</acronym> in the [yearly
8 elections](http://www.debian.org/vote/2009/vote_001).

10 My attempt was *not* successful: the other candidate (Steve McIntyre,
11 which was standing again after his 1st term as DPL) won over me by 43
12 votes.
