From April 2010 to April 2013 I've served as **[[!wikipedia Debian Project Leader]]** [for](http://www.debian.org/vote/2010/vote_001) [three](http://www.debian.org/vote/2011/vote_001) [terms](http://www.debian.org/vote/2012/vote_001). Before serving as DPL, my Debian involvement revolved around the activities listed below (in no particular order). My involvement in them will be more or less on hold during the DPL term. * maintenance of [**OCaml**](http://caml.inria.fr)-related packages as the admin of the [Debian OCaml maintainers task force](http://wiki.debian.org/Teams/OCamlTaskForce) * fixing one RC bug per-day (and convincing other in doings the same), with the [[**Release Critical Bugs of the Week**|rcbw]] (RCBW) initiative * archive-wide **quality assurance**, as a member of the [Debian QA team](http://qa.debian.org); this includes maintaining infrastructure parts such as the [PTS](http://packages.qa.debian.org) * maintenance of [**several other packages**](http://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=zack), many of which are XML-related (from [W3C](http://www.w3.org) recommendations, to rendering tools for mathematics in XML, [Python](http://www.python.org) libraries for dealing with XML, and whatnot) * maintenance of [**Vim**](http://www.vim.org)-related packages, including the Vim editor itself, as a member of the [Debian VIM maintainers](http://alioth.debian.org/projects/pkg-vim/) team ([not any longer](http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pkg-vim-maintainers/2009-July/007002.html)) * various [other projects](http://alioth.debian.org/users/zack/), listed on [alioth](http://alioth.debian.org) # DPL * In 2009, I've been [[standing for DPL|dpl-2009]] in the [yearly elections](http://www.debian.org/vote/2009/vote_001).
